The second learning activity took place in Malta from 21 to 23 May 2019. It was led by the local partner TR Associates.

Day one

The meeting opened with a presentation of the Maltese cultural heritage, followed by workshops on how to design an online platform for the project and on how to create case studies for AR adaptation. Based on that, the afternoon was devoted to on-site group documentation in La Valletta.

Day two

During the second day, the groups shared their case studies on the National Museum of Archaeology, the Siege Bell Memorial and the Grandmaster’s Place and Armoury, respectively. This material was used to draft digital stories that could serve as a basis for possible AR animations (gamification through co-creation). The day closed with a study visit to Għar Dalam, Malta’s oldest prehistoric site.

Day three

The final sessions were dedicated to share views about cultural diversity and to present some examples of how AR can be used for learning purposes, as well as to discuss the communication and dissemination activities required by the project.
