Using augmented reality in creating and accessing digital content: an online event by Cheritage and Europe Direct Valcea
The Romanian partner of Cheritage – Visual Library of Cultural Heritage organized an online event to disseminate the results of the project in collaboration with Europe Direct Valcea.
The online presentation took place on Wednesday 14 April 2021 and brought together a large number of participants from different areas of activity: librarians, teachers and volunteers working in Europe Direct centers.
The agenda
The topic of the meeting was “Using augmented reality in creating and accessing digital content”. The event opened with an introduction to the project and the partners involved, representing 7 different countries of the European Union (Czech Republic, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Slovenia). The participants were then trained in using the Zappar application – on which the augmented reality component of the project is developed – for cultural heritage promotion. A practical session followed, drawing on the training guidelines shared during the project learning activities. The event also included an online exhibition displaying the flashcards created by the Romanian partner to “augment” the 12 items chosen as representative of the Romanian cultural heritage. The meeting closed with an introduction to the Erasmus+ program, under which the Cheritage project has been implemented.
